The Canadian Surf Film Festival (CSFF) is an annual convergence of surf enthusiasts, artists, and friends that get together and share their love of all things surf through film. Surf culture embodies a myriad of intangibles: thoughts, ideals, and philosophies that merge and mix through a mutual respect and understanding of nature– in particular, the ocean and all its wonder.
CCSF began with a handful of local surfers who dreamed of watching surf films, old and new, on the silver screen with their friends. Now in its third year, the CSFF has garnered international press, establishing itself as a significant force in the surf film festival circuit. The Canadian Surf Film Festival is committed to providing a unique and celebratory forum for local, national, and international surf films and surf culture to collide.
The Canadian Surf Film Festival is an annual 4-day event held in Halifax, Nova Scotia during the month of September. Although it’s held only once a year, you can follow the festival through their Facebook page. There you will find fresh and cool surf films and updates from all around the globe.
