It’s been a very busy past few months for Gypset Girl with the evolution of turning the blog into a brand! The transformation has been amazing and has many different facets to it that we are currently building on. But to start, I wanted to tell you all about the Gypset Girl pop~up shop in NYC. Done in South Street Seaport this spring, it was the perfect location to debut the collection while the city was starting to come alive again after a long winter.
Sponsored by Pop Chips and Iceberg Vodka and in partnering with FIDI Living (the go-to spot for a curated guide to discovering New York’s Financial District), we popped up in the uber hip shop Northern Grade on Front Street in FiDi.
Our opening night party brought editors, bloggers, friends and family to shop and celebrate our inaugural Gypset Girl shopping experience!
Through all of my travels, I’ve been able to source manufacturers and textiles to import and create beautiful wares and home goods from across the world. Some of the hard to choose items were Turkish rugs direct from the Grand Bazaar from Istanbul, as well as Berber jewelry and pillows from Morocco.
But for me the most exciting part was finally being able to share with everyone my own personally designed clothes and accessories I’ve created and had manufactured during my trips to Morocco over the past year.
People have always asked me where I find my clothes, and since typically I source them from far away places, I decided to bring together the inspiration I’ve collected through my traveling many exotic enclaves. In doing so I can now share them with everyone through my eye and provide a boho luxe fashion line for everyone to enjoy and feel like even if you haven’t made that bucket list trip yet, you can feel like it’s already a part of your journey.
