With summer in full swing, it’s time we all turn our attention to finding the perfect soundtrack to accompany us on our warm weather adventures. I believe I’ve found a contender in Cayucas, a quirky band bringing back the 60’s beach-bum vibe with their recent album, Bigfoot. With tunes that echo the laid-back, coastal feel of their home state of California, it’s hard not to find yourself daydreaming along with their feel good songs.
The song, “Cayucas” is the perfect song for enjoying the sun and sand. Singer Zach Yudin, responsible for the vision of Cayucas, creates the quintessential up-beat tracks on Bigfoot that drip with summery references and pay homage to the hometown beachy feel we all crave during these warmer months.
Yudin describes the towns of his youth that inspired his music by saying “the place still holds on tight to its propensity for dreamy, lazy, bonfire-lit nights worth getting moony-eyed about.” Bigfoot is a great soundtrack to accompany you on your next coastal road trip. With the track “East Coast Girl” and many others, Cayucas is a great band to carry you through your summer or wherever your gypset lifestyle and travels may take you.
