Haute Hippie‘s Manhattan and East Hampton stores embrace a mixture of bohemian sensibility, rock-n-roll edge, and comfort. The Haute Hippie line of clothing is not only edgy and sophisticated, but also practical, versatile, and instantly wearable.
The company started out with five employees who worked directly out of founder Trish Wescoat Pound’s one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan. Trish sought to reshape the feminine, bohemian ethos into a collection of cool, luxurious clothes for the “RoBo” – rock ‘n roll bohemian woman. The brand exploded in popularity and is now in three locations throughout New York– SoHo, Madison Avenue, and East Hampton. Additionally, Haute Hippie clothing is sold in over 300 stores world wide.
Trish is a believer in democratizing fashion without compromising luxury. She incorporates this carefree perspective into her clothing line, and it characterizes her nomadic approach to life. She is fond of traveling and music, something that has remained a constant throughout her career.
