J.Crew’s Spring and Summer 2014 collection has a decidedly gypset vibe. Women’s head designer, Tom Mora, has incorporated the bold, tropical colors of Hawaii to give the collection a “West Coast surfer” feel, while simultaneously using designs from European beach culture at the turn of the century. It’s definitely an interesting combination, but when you take a look at the line, it works!
There are so many pieces that I am loving from the Spring/Summer 2014 collections. Here are a few of my favorites:
This embroidered chambray tunic and the embroidered tunic in stripe transitions perfectly thrown on over your bathing suit with a pair of shorts for an afternoon of shopping or a moonlit beach side dinner.
This Nili Lotan® designed cover up is the epitome of gypset style- LOVE!
Here’s a great eyelet piece that has the turn of the century European beach culture feel carried throughout this collection.
Pair these leather leggings with a great pair of shoes and you’re all set for a bohemian nighttime adventure!
This tunic features textured neon tweed from Paris–it’s a great addition to any summer gypset wardrobe!
